Indian Head, Bison & Buffalo Nickel Coins

Buffalo nickels were minted in the United States from 1913 to 1938 and are some of the most sought after coins for the collector. There were two different varieties of this coin minted in the first year of issue. One had the buffalo on the reverse on a mound and the second variety had the mound flattened down to a straight line.
